Welcome to the Christian Science Committee on Publication for Oregon Webpage! I am Karla Hackney, a native of the greater Portland area and my title is the Christian Science Committee on Publication for Oregon. I network with people such as legislators, media journalists, local clergy and the public to help communicate correct information regarding Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy and members of the Christian Science faith. I am also a Christian Science practitioner – helping people heal through prayer. For many years I have been engaged in Oregon’s local enterprise, I love to hike in our forests and I am an avid vintage car enthusiast. On the weekends, if I’m not teaching my high school Sunday school class, I’m probably camping in my vintage teardrop trailer or rallying on a car event.
